Judy Fox was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, earned a BA degree from Yale University, and a Master of Fine Arts from New York University. She was an art student at the time when figurative art was submerged by abstraction and took that as a challenge. She has been on the faculty at Yale, Middlebury College, and the Tyler School of Art. She travels widely, and her work reflects her sensitivity to other cultures and the archetype figures of those cultures. |
