Henri Jacques Bource was a Belgian artist who was born and died in Antwerp. He was a student of Dyckmans and Wapper at the Royal Academy in Antwerp. He also painted in Paris. He won a medal at La Haye in 1857 and exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1875. A painter of history and genre scenes, he traveled Europe painting regional scenes. Today his works are hanging in museums in Brussels, Dublin, La Haye, Liege and Sheffield. |
